Job summary

SMX is seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Financials Business Analyst to join our team. This role focuses on managing and resolving customer issues submitted through our help desk, monitoring queues, analyzing problems, and ensuring timely resolutions across financial processes and systems.

The ideal candidate will lead quarterly regression testing, participate in incident/root cause analyses, and collaborate with stakeholders to document requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field
• 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst with Oracle Fusion/Cloud Financials
• Hands-on implementation and/or support experience with Oracle Fusion Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, FA)
• Strong understanding of finance processes, accounting principles, and financial reporting
• Experience gathering business requirements, creating functional documents, and mapping solutions
• Proficient in Oracle reporting tools (OTBI, FRS)
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team

Responsibilities

• Monitor, manage, and resolve tickets submitted in the help desk system for Oracle Fusion Financials issues
• Lead quarterly regression testing of Oracle’s quarterly releases
• Lead or participate in incident/root cause analysis and manage escalations to resolution
• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend best practices
• Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting for Oracle Fusion Financials modules
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document financial requirements
• Design, implement, and enhance Oracle Fusion Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM)
• Translate requirements into functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams
• Lead or participate in Fit-Gap analysis, workshops, and solution mapping
• Develop and execute test strategies, scripts, and support UAT
• Deliver training and knowledge transfer to users and support teams
• Ensure system performance and regulatory compliance
