Job summary

Joint Strategic Technologies seeks an Oracle Core Database Administrator for full-time remote work. The role requires deep Oracle DB expertise, including RAC, RMAN, Data Guard, GoldenGate, Data Pump, and cloud OCI/AWS/Azure experience. A COMPTIA Sec+ and 10+ years of experience are required, with a strong problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Must have COMPTIA Sec+ IAW DOD 8570.
• Team Player with positive attitude.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of Linux operating system.

Responsibilities

• Expertise in Oracle Critical Upgrades, Operating System upgrades, quarterly patches, and application upgrades.
• Expertise in Oracle EBS Patching, payroll patching, and cloning efforts.
• Expertise in managing Oracle high availability, Oracle RAC.
• Expertise in managing Data guard standby and knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate.
• Expertise in RMAN database backup and recovery, point in time recovery.
• Experience in Oracle Archive log management.
• Involve in emergency system service outage troubleshooting.
• Experience in troubleshooting ORA_ Errors, Connectivity, space issues, archive log issues.
• Expertise in ASM storage and maintenance.
• Experience in Data Pump (expdp/impdp) data loads, Transportable tablespaces.
• Experience in configuring and managing Oracle Database TDE Encryption.
• Support database configuration, monitoring, and tuning.
• Assist in COOP exercise.
• Knowledge of PKI Certificates and implementation.
• Proficiency in SQL programming languages.
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting and cron scheduling.
• Automation of database tasks like Backups, monitoring, Health checks and maintenance.
• Experience in managing Oracle Container and pluggable (CDB/PDB).
• Experience in handling Oracle DBA, production on call rotations.
• Working knowledge of Oracle OCI, AWS, Azure cloud environments.
