Job summary

Cayenta is seeking a Technical Consultant with hands-on Oracle 19c experience to join our Managed Services team. You will administer RAC, Data Guard, Grid Infrastructure, and RMAN in production environments, ensuring high availability and rapid recovery.

The role emphasizes customer collaboration, problem solving, and proactive infrastructure support. The position is remote with preference for PST timezone, supporting US and Canada customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Oracle 19c experience with RAC and Data Guard.
• Proven ability to deploy, configure, patch, and maintain Oracle environments.
• Strong Linux troubleshooting and shell scripting skills.
• Experience with RMAN backup/recovery and Grid Infrastructure administration.
• Ability to work in remote, customer-facing managed services contexts.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle 19c databases and RAC environments.
• Monitor availability, performance, and storage; perform tuning and optimization.
• Manage Data Guard standby databases and disaster recovery testing.
• Patch, upgrade, and maintain Grid Infrastructure and ASM; troubleshoot issues.
• Support backups/recovery with RMAN and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
