Cayenta, a division of Harris, seeks a Technical Consultant with deep Oracle Database 19c expertise to join our Managed Services team. You will administer RAC, Data Guard, Grid Infrastructure, and RMAN while ensuring availability, performance, and recoverability in a remote role across the U.S. and Canada.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, constructor-driven automation, and collaboration with internal teams in a production environment. 75K–85K USD, with flexibility for regional needs.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience deploying, administering, and supporting Oracle 19c databases, including RAC and Data Guard environments.
• Demonstrated production experience managing Oracle RAC clusters, including cluster administration, troubleshooting, and high-availability operations.
• Hands-on experience configuring, administering, and maintaining Oracle Data Guard standby databases.
• Strong working knowledge of Oracle Grid Infrastructure, Oracle Clusterware, and ASM.
• Experience administering Oracle databases on RHEL and/or Oracle Linux, with working knowledge of both operating environments.
• Proven ability to perform Oracle database performance tuning, including SQL optimization, execution-plan analysis, and use of Oracle diagnostic tools.
• Experience with Oracle RMAN backup, restore, and recovery operations.
• Practical experience with Oracle database patching, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Strong Linux troubleshooting skills and familiarity with shell scripting.
• Experience troubleshooting complex production incidents and performing root-cause analysis.
• Strong communication, analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of customer issues.

Aufgaben

• Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle Database 19c environments.
• Manage Oracle RAC, including cluster health, node management, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Administer Oracle Data Guard physical standby databases and support switchover and failover activities.
• Install, configure, patch, and maintain Grid Infrastructure, Clusterware, and ASM.
• Perform patching, upgrades, and maintenance with minimal customer disruption.
• Monitor database availability, capacity, storage, performance, and health.
• Support RMAN backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex production issues.
