Job summary

ANI Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Ophthalmology Account Executive to cover a remote/US-based territory aligned with Rare Disease initiatives. The role focuses on Ophthalmology and Retina, building physician relationships and expanding market access for Cortrophin Gel and ILUVIEN.

The candidate will drive education, account plans, and market development across multiple states, with travel up to 50% and a base salary in the six-figure range plus incentive programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of success in rare disease, retina and/or specialty pharmaceutical sales.
• Experience calling on Retina Specialists, Ophthalmologists and Eye Care Professionals.
• Knowledge of government and commercial payers and buy-and-bill processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive physician and patient identification, market development, and brand awareness in Ophthalmology and Retina.
• Build territory strategy and account plans to maximize sales potential.
• Collaborate with MSLs, Market Access, patient hub and internal teams to ensure access and patient support.
• Develop and manage relationships with key accounts and physicians; perform pre/post call analysis.
• Lead and execute territory-level business planning; travel 50%+ as needed.
