Job summary

Miratech is seeking an Operations Research Engineer to advance the Workforce Management optimization capabilities for a large-scale contact center. You will translate business requirements into production-grade optimization services, focusing on scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.

You will work cross-functionally with Product, WFM specialists, Architects, and Engineering teams to build robust models, validate performance, and deliver scalable solutions for enterprise needs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience designing and implementing optimization solutions.
• Hands-on production experience with OR-Tools (CP-SAT) or similar solver.
• Strong foundation in linear programming, integer programming, or stochastic optimization.
• Direct experience modeling and solving workforce or resource scheduling problems.
• Experience with large datasets and solving large-scale optimization problems.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop optimization models for contact center workforce planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Design and implement the schedule optimization engine using OR-Tools/CP-SAT.
• Own the constraint model end to end: formalize business rules into a solvable, maintainable model; build the production-grade solver as a service within the WFM platform.
• Define and validate schedule quality metrics and instrument the service for production monitoring.
• Build and execute tests and validation of optimization algorithms for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to integrate models into the enterprise optimization engine.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure generated schedules are operationally usable.
• Communicate findings and methodologies clearly to engineering and business teams.
