Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking an Operations Manager, Government Grants to join the Office of Funded Programs. This grant-funded, full-time role offers flexible, home-based work arrangements and supporting PIs and teams through the grant lifecycle.

Reporting to the National Government Funding Director, you will coordinate budgets, expenditures, and compliance, manage subrecipients, and help with reporting, closeout, and documentation across federal awards.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of relevant experience required.
• Understanding of federal grant regulations (OMB Uniform Guidance).
• Familiarity with federal grantors such as CDC, HRSA, NIH.
• Experience in project management with regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Expense review and timely invoicing.
• Coordinate prior approvals and waivers.
• Support budget planning and forecasting.
• Review personnel allocations and effort documentation.
• Coordinate contractors and subrecipient documentation.
• Draft project communications, logs, and reports.
• Support closeout and records management.
