We're looking for a sharp, adaptable ROC Operator to be the eyes and ears of our upstream operations. In this fast-paced role, you'll monitor field assets in real time to ensure safety, maximize performance, and keep production running smoothly. You will quickly spot and respond to abnormal conditions, coordinate critical logistics, and help prioritize what matters most—all while staying flexible to meet evolving operational needs. What you will be Doing:
- Actively monitor upstream assets for safety and performance.
- Support the overall success of production operations to ensure proper functioning and timely handling of prioritized items.
- Identify abnormal operating and equipment conditions; monitor and coordinate logistical activities.
- Serve as a liaison between field teams during emergencies or abnormal conditions and during activation of the Incident Command system.
- Surveillance of onshore assets.
- Perform root cause analysis using Cygnet and Foresite.
- Monitor production facilities and wells to assist Lease Operators in pumping by priority.
- Manage alarms and participate in alarm rationalization.
- Troubleshoot or repair issues to minimize safety risks and economic losses, delegating or informing relevant personnel.
- Use Cygnet and ForeSite to improve efficiency, well optimization, and root cause analysis.
- Operate auto-chokes and automated equipment remotely.
- Input and manage maintenance work-orders via K-2.
- Provide daily updates to stakeholders through Teams and reports.
- Dispatch and coordinate third-party trucking for fluid transfer and disposal, respecting content-specific requirements.
- Organize and coordinate services for various field teams including construction, drilling, and production.
- Create and distribute reports using tools like Excel, SharePoint, or Power BI, and utilize GIS or SAP platforms as needed.
- Schedule crude oil pickups across the field, maintaining proper tank levels via Cygnet.
- Review and complete alarm rationalization in SCADA systems.
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of industry experience in roles such as Lease Operator, Automation Technician, Production Technician, or Control Room Operator.
- Basic understanding of production processing equipment.
- Proficiency in SCADA systems (Cygnet).
- Basic knowledge of artificial lift systems and compression.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of water recycling/disposal.
Preferred Experience:
- 5-10 years in similar roles.
- Advanced knowledge of processing equipment and well optimization.
- Experience with downhole and BHA equipment, artificial lift, and automated control systems.
- Proficiency in well surveillance programs like LOWIS, XSPOC, Foresite.
- Experience in operating compression, EOR techniques, and oilfield logistics.
Work Schedule:
7 days on/7 days off from Thursday to Wednesday, 12-hour shifts, rotating between day and night hitches.
