Job summary

Ohio Connections Academy is seeking a Business Adjunct Teacher to manage subject-specific instructional programs from home in Ohio. You will monitor progress, provide academic guidance, and act as the subject-matter expert for a caseload of middle school students, coordinating with learning coaches and families.

The role requires Ohio teaching certification and strong technology skills (Office & Google Suite).

Qualifications

• Highly qualified and certified to teach in Ohio, appropriate to grade level and subject.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Customer-focused approach and flexibility.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment; team player.
• Experience with online instruction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with parents/learning coaches, students and other teachers via phone, WebMail, discussions, and conferencing.
• Instruct students, monitor work, provide feedback, and suggest instructional approaches.
• Monitor completion of assignments in the subject area.
• Score assessments and projects in the subject area.
• Conduct online tutorials and instructional sessions using online conferencing tools.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of the curriculum for the responsible subject (subject expert).
• Provide struggling students and parents with alternative strategies and additional assistance.
• Complete required training sessions throughout the year.
• Other duties as assigned.
