Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC, operating OHDELA (Ohio Distance and Electronic Learning Academy), seeks teachers for a fully online K-12 program. You will serve as the teacher of record for core subjects, delivering live lessons via web conference and guiding students through online curricula, with in-person travel several times yearly for testing and events.

You must hold an Ohio teaching license, be comfortable with asynchronous and synchronous instruction, and maintain strong communication with families

Qualifications

Current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
Two years’ teaching experience preferred.
Growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
MS Office proficiency including Word and Outlook.
Ability to properly manage confidential information.
Ability to stand for up to 90 minutes.
Ability to supervise students in all school settings.
Criminal background checks (federal and state) required.
Experience in multicultural settings preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in core content areas and grade levels.
Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference.
Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback daily.
Track and maintain contact with each student and communicate with families.
Collaborate with Principal to create Progress Reports of Students.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs.
Incorporate 21st-century technology in daily practice.
Travel to support in-person state testing and events.
