Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is hiring a Staff Nurse (RN) for Oncology Continuing Care Triage in a remote role. You will triage oncology patients by phone, assess needs, document in the EMR, and coordinate next steps with the care team from a remote location.

Required Ohio RN license with 2+ years in nursing, and preferred OCN certification. On-call weekends/holidays, with scheduling support and potential onsite shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited program.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit.
• 2 years experience in relevant care setting preferred.
• Maintains current Ohio RN license and meets educational requirements.
• Experience with telephone assessment and management preferred.
• Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage nursing care for oncology patients in alignment with the care model.
• Direct and supervise nursing staff and coordinate with the care team.
• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegate and evaluate nursing care.
• Respond to telephone triage calls using established algorithms and document in EMR.
• Follow up on post-discharge or post-procedure calls and assist scheduling staff as needed.
