Job summary

Omega Healthcare Management Services is seeking an Oncology Data Specialist to abstract cancer cases from electronic medical records into the registry software, ensuring HIPAA compliance and adherence to CoC and state data standards.

This remote role requires daily data abstraction, meticulous data verification, and timely reporting to the State Central Registry. Candidates should have at least three years of oncology data abstraction experience and an ODS-C credential; RHIA/RHIT are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of oncology data abstracting experience.
• Familiarity with ICD-O, AJCC staging and SEER coding standards is expected.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and data quality under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily abstraction of cancer cases into the registry database.
• Run and resolve edits prior to submission to State Central Registry.
• Abstract cases in accordance with CoC and State standards.
