Job summary

LaSalle Network is seeking an Oncology Coder to join our client on a contract-to-hire basis. This fully remote role requires CPC certification and oncology coding experience to ensure accurate ICD-CM and CPT-4 coding across complex surgical and E/M services, supporting compliant claims and proper reimbursement.

Responsibilities include analyzing records, abstracting codes, addressing NCCI edits, and compiling reports to support quality assurance and compliance initiatives within a growing coding

Qualifications

• CPC certification is required.
• Oncology coding experience is required.
• Must be able to process 8-10 charts per hour.
• Education: high school diploma/GED or an associate degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records and code diagnoses and procedures per ICD-CM and CPT-4.
• Assign codes for APCs and address NCCI edits and charge reconciliation as needed.
• Abstract diagnoses and procedures into the EMR and request missing info when needed.
• Consult providers to clarify documentation for accurate coding.
• Provide QA to ensure coding compliance with CMS, OIG, and LCD guidelines.
• Compile daily/monthly reports and tabulate data for research or analysis.
• Identify and correct validation edits to support accurate coding and reimbursement.
