Job summary

The LaSalle Network is hiring an Oncology Coder for a fully remote, contract-to-hire role. You will apply ICD-CM and CPT-4 coding to complex surgical, procedural, and E/M services, ensuring compliant charge capture and clean claims.

You will work with CMS, OIG, HCFA guidelines, and replicate accurate coding across records, with a productivity target of 8–10 charts per hour and a focus on quality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Oncologic coding experience required.
• CPC certification required.
• Proficient in ICD-CM and CPT-4 coding.
• Ability to interpret NCCI edits and LCDs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records and assign ICD-CM/CPT-4 codes.
• Ensure accurate APC assignment and address NCCI edits.
• Abstract diagnoses and procedures into EMR with accuracy.
• Clarify documentation with providers for accurate codes.
• Provide QA to ensure compliance with coding rules and CMS requirements.
• Compile daily/monthly medical record data for analysis.
• Identify validation edits and correct issues for proper reimbursement.
