Job summary

Colla Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Care Manager to support oncology patients across the United States in a fully remote role. You will collaborate with oncology teams to provide targeted behavioral health support integrated with medical care.

Responsibilities include brief interventions, screening for mental health disorders, patient engagement, and coordinating follow-up, education, and treatment options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in behavioral health or oncology settings.
• Licensure as one of the listed licenses is required.
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote, fast-changing environment.
• Experience collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to evidence-based care.
• Strong communication and patient engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the mental health of patients with cancer on an assigned patient caseload
• Provide brief behavioral interventions tailored for the cancer setting
• Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
• Facilitate patient engagement and follow-up care
• Provide patient education about common mental health and substance abuse disorders and the available treatment options
• Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications
• Support psychotropic medication management as prescribed by medical providers, focusing on treatment adherence monitoring, side effects, and effectiveness of treatment
• Develop a trusted, effective working relationship with the partner oncology practice team
• Work within partner oncology groups to support patients, clinicians, and practice staff with the identification and intake of patients needing behavioral health support
