Role involves outreach to patients, brief interventions, screening for disorders, and coordinating follow-up with clinicians. Eligible candidates hold CA licenses (LCSW/LPC/LPCC/LMFT) and have 5+ years of relevant experience in health care or oncology, with a passion for evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in behavioral health, healthcare, or oncology settings.
• Active licenses in CA: LCSW, LPC, LPCC, or LMFT.
• Demonstrated collaboration and effective communication in a team.
• Adaptable to a dynamic, fast-growing environment with evolving priorities.
• Experience interacting with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the mental health of patients with cancer on an assigned caseload.
• Provide brief behavioral interventions tailored for the cancer setting.
• Screen and assess patients for mental health and substance use disorders.
• Facilitate patient engagement and follow-up care.
• Educate patients about mental health disorders and treatment options.
• Monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Support medication management and adherence.
• Build trusted relationships with the oncology team.
• Assist with patient identification and intake for behavioral health support.
