Job summary

ICF is seeking an On-Call Toxicologist to join our Health Science Practice. The role focuses on toxicology, hazard assessment, risk assessment, exposure assessment, and environmental modeling for federal, state, and private clients.

This remote, part-time on-call position offers flexible hours and opportunities to work across multiple projects. The candidate will review literature, conduct data extraction and dose–response analyses, and develop components of risk assessment reports.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Toxicology, Epidemiology, Public Health, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related subject, or Bachelor’s degree in any of these fields with equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify and quantify health effects of environmental pollutants on humans and the environment.
• Review scientific literature and synthesize findings for reports and media.
• Create data visualizations and dashboards from large datasets.
• Conduct dose–response analyses and contribute to risk assessments.
• Support scientific workshop activities and QA/QC of documents.
