Job summary

The Sexual Assault Resource Center (SARC) seeks an On-Call Advocate to provide trauma-informed support to survivors. This remote-friendly role requires timely responses to hospital calls within Washington County and participation in an on-call schedule.

You will offer crisis support, referrals, and ensure confidentiality while coordinating with hospitals and community resources. Training is provided, with flexible evening/weekend hours and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Ability to respond to hospital calls within 50 minutes in Washington County.
• Must pass a thorough background check, including fingerprinting.
• Willingness to complete SARC-provided training if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Answer support line calls and provide trauma-informed emotional support and safety planning.
• Accompany survivors to hospitals or response sites in Washington County on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Offer referrals, resources, and crisis intervention.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate client records.
• Co-facilitate peer support groups or support volunteers during training when needed.
