Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Remote Offshore Project Engineer to manage critical aspects of offshore projects from their home office, supporting operations that may span across various regions including near Paarl . This fully remote role requires a proactive individual to oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and schedule. You will be responsible for coordinating with multiple stakeholders, managing risks, and driving project success in the dynamic Oil & Gas industry . The ideal candidate excels in remote collaboration and possesses a strong track record in managing complex offshore engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of offshore projects, managing scope, schedule, and budget effectively.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, procurement, construction, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as necessary.
• Manage project documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication, ensuring transparency and timely updates.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) standards throughout project lifecycles.
• Oversee the performance of contractors and vendors, ensuring deliverables meet project specifications and contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Naval Architecture) or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project engineering or project management, with a significant focus on offshore projects in the Oil & Gas sector .
• Proven experience in managing the full project lifecycle, from conceptualization to close-out.
• Strong understanding of offshore construction, installation, and commissioning processes.
• Excellent remote leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools is essential.
