Job summary

Ascent Global Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Ocean Booking Agent to facilitate timely ocean import shipments (FCL/LCL) from origin to destination in compliance with company standards. This role is remote within the US and requires 2+ years in logistics, freight forwarding, or NVOCC experience.

You will be the booking point of contact for customers, request quotations, and coordinate with overseas agents to ensure on-time delivery and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree helpful.
• Customer service: 2 years required.
• Freight forwarding: 2 years preferred.
• NVOCC: 2 years preferred.
• Ability to work first or second shift.
• Microsoft Word and Excel; proficient with ten-key.

Responsibilities

• Book ocean shipments from origin to destination in compliance with standards.
• Serve as booking point of contact for ocean customers.
• Request freight quotations with container details.
• Schedule ocean bookings for hazardous and nonhazardous cargo.
• Coordinate routing, quotes, and overseas agents.
• Review daily bookings for compliance and timing.
• Troubleshoot customs and logistics challenges.
• Work with operations to achieve objectives.
