Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an Observability & Infrastructure Engineer to lead monitoring, telemetry, and platform-as-code initiatives across multi-region AWS deployments.

You will architect robust observability pipelines, codify monitoring infrastructure with Terraform, AWS CDK, and TypeScript, and ensure deep visibility across our distributed footprint. Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry, Splunk, and Datadog is required.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing observability pipelines.
• Hands-on with multi-region AWS deployments and disaster recovery.
• Proficient with Terraform, AWS CDK, and TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and validate monitoring and telemetry strategies for multi-region architectures.
• Manage and automate Datadog configurations and AWS infrastructure as code.
• Architect scalable telemetry ingest pipelines using AWS services like Lambda, S3, Kinesis, and Firehose.
• Implement log routing, enrichment, and redaction workflows with OP2/Vector, Splunk, and OpenTelemetry.
• Configure CloudWatch metrics and alarms for edge, ALB, CloudFront, Route 53, and VPC Lattice; manage alert routing to PagerDuty.
