Job summary

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects nationwide.

The O&M Estimator role focuses on preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for long-term service agreements on solar and BESS projects. This fully remote position involves collaborating with BD, PMs, and engineers to ensure timely, quality estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or architectural field.
• 3+ years of estimating experience.
• Experience with utility-scale solar or BESS is preferred.
• Strong ability to read specifications and drawings.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and cost-estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Review RFPs and project plans to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.
• Identify equipment and OEM requirements.
• Meet bidding schedules and participate in estimates reviews.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for costs and quotes.
• Maintain cost databases and estimating templates.
