Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an O&M Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for long-term service agreements on solar and BESS projects. This role involves analyzing RFPs, specifications, and collaborating with business development, project managers, and engineers.

This position is fully remote and discussions will cover location expectations during interview. Responsibilities include reviewing documents, preparing takeoffs and pricing, identifying equipment needs, maintaining

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or architectural field or equivalent experience.
Working knowledge of utility-scale solar and BESS equipment.
3+ years estimating experience.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Review RFPs, project plans, and specs to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Prepare quantity takeoff and materials pricing.
Identify equipment and OEM requirements and quantify costs.
Maintain bidding schedules and participate in estimate reviews.
Collaborate with subcontractors to define minor scope costs and maintain vendor relationships.
Develop and maintain cost databases and estimating templates.
Update estimate versions and ensure timely delivery.
