First American is seeking a Title Examiner to perform extensive title reviews for cooperative properties across New York, including NYC. You will work remotely, examining public records to determine the legal condition of titles and to cure title issues under NY underwriting practices.

The role requires 4+ years in NY title examination, strong knowledge of ACRIS and NY county systems, and experience with co-op transactions and UCC searches.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of NY title examination experience.
• Strong knowledge of ACRIS and NY county recording systems.
• Experience with NY co-op transactions and cooperative title review.
• Familiarity with NY UCC searches and lien resolution.
• Knowledge of NYC ECB violations, municipal liens and tax searches.
• Detail-oriented with strong accuracy.

Responsabilités

• Perform title examinations for cooperative properties across New York State (including NYC).
• Conduct detailed searches using ACRIS and county clerk systems.
• Examine deeds, mortgages, satisfactions, assignments and transfer documents.
• Review coop leases, stock certificates and related documents.
• Conduct and analyze UCC lien searches and identify filings affecting co-ops.
• Identify and resolve title issues and variances in NY real estate.
