Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Typically 2+ years of related experience are expected.
• Texas Title Examination experience preferred.
• State license(s) if required.

• Customer service orientation is important.
• Proficiency with MS Office and company operating systems.
• Knowledge of legal terms is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform title examination and assess the chain of title for residential orders.
• Abstract and analyze records (mortgages, liens, judgments, easements) to verify ownership and restrictions.
• Resolve missing or contradictory information in title documents.
• Prepare initial title commitment documentation according to guidelines.
• Prepare and review reports for accuracy; may provide underwriting interpretation.
