Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Facility Compliance Consultant I (Nursing Home Surveyor). The role conducts regulatory inspections of nursing homes and documents findings through survey reports and deficiency statements.

It is a home-based position with frequent onsite visits across Cabarrus, Davidson, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly, and Union counties. Regular travel, occasional overnight stays, and potential overnight shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health, human service, or educational related field with three years' experience in surveying or related health programs.
• Master's or Bachelor's in social work with related surveying/administration experience.
• Bachelor's in nutrition/food service management with relevant surveying/administration background.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite inspections of nursing homes during routine surveys and complaint investigations to assess compliance with state and federal requirements.
