Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Licensing Engineer Energy to support licensing activities for fuel cycle facilities. The role is remote, based out of Oak Ridge, TN, with duties spanning drafting license applications, performing evaluations, and coordinating inputs from multi-disciplinary teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has a nuclear engineering background, 3 years of licensing/regulatory experience, and familiarity with 10 CFR Part 70 and NRC guidance. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of relevant nuclear industry licensing/regulatory experience.
• Experience drafting licensing submittals or regulatory documentation.
• Familiarity with 10 CFR Part 70 licensing framework and NRC guidance.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to work under 10 CFR Part 810.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assigned sections of 10 CFR Part 70 license applications.
• Perform licensing evaluations and applicability determinations.
• Coordinate inputs from client and design teams; maintain traceability.
• Identify licensing commitments and document them in the commitments register.
• Prepare licensing presentations and support material for internal and external audiences.
• Support NRC responses and maintain schedules for timely delivery.
