Job summary

Kinectrics AES, Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for Nuclear Projects. Lead design and modification of critical components and guide cross-disciplinary teams on challenging nuclear facility projects.

The role involves direct customer interaction to define inputs and resolve engineering challenges, plus mentoring junior engineers and leading project teams. Requires strong communication and nuclear design knowledge.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program is required.
• Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible commercial nuclear experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication with clients and colleagues.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for mechanical design of nuclear plants.
• Technical mastery of engineering principles.
• Ability to review complex calculations and design deliverables.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify key components to meet rigorous specs.
• Lead technical reviews of calculations and deliverables; mentor juniors.
• Work with customers to define design inputs and solve engineering challenges.
