Koteff Accounting Group is seeking an experienced accountant to lead its nonprofit division. You will oversee a portfolio of nonprofit clients, report to the CEO, and drive growth within the division, building strong relationships with clients and the team.

The role emphasizes monthly closes, financial reporting, budgets, and CFO-level services, with opportunities to shape processes and internal SOPs in a remote, full-time setup.

Qualifications

• CPA designation preferred and advantageous for leadership responsibilities.
• Experience overseeing full accounting cycles in nonprofit environments.
• 3+ years in an accounting firm managing multiple jobs or projects.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop/Online and Excel.
• Strong communication and leadership in client-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nonprofit client portfolio and monthly closes.
• Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, and cash-flow projections.
• Provide CFO services (budgets, projections, management reports) and support audits/990 work.
• Mentor team, onboard new staff, and develop internal SOPs.
• Engage in meetings with clients and internal teams as required.
