Job summary

EisnerAmper is seeking an Accounting Manager/Controller with nonprofit industry experience for a fully remote role in our Outsourced Accounting & CFO practice. You will lead financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls for nonprofit clients, collaborating with senior leadership and client teams nationwide.

The successful candidate will possess CPA credentials, strong GAAP knowledge, and extensive supervisory experience, with proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks/Intacct.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in accounting or related field required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• 6+ years of relevant accounting, audit and/or financial statements experience
• Prior supervisory experience
• CPA certification or exams passed is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies.
• Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make appropriate recommendations.
• Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
• Coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurements, or investment activities for all or part of an organization. Prepare financial information.
• Monitor ratio and key performance indicators (KPI).
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommending and implementing actions.
• Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
• Communicate on a regular basis with boards, bankers, investors, constituents, etc.; may include prepping for and/or hosting board presentations.
