Job summary

Supporting Strategies is seeking an experienced Non-Profit accounting manager to lead a remote client-facing accounting team for a flexible part-time role (30-35 hours/wk). This hands-on position focuses on delivering excellent client service during daytime hours while avoiding long in-office weeks.

You will oversee onboarding, implement cloud-based tools, and sustain a high-performing remote team, balancing client budgets and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 10 years of nonprofit accounting experience with 4 years of hands-on management experience.
• Ability to work 32-35 hours per week during daytime business hours.
• Proven ability to attract, build and retain a high-performance remote team.
• Experience managing remote teams with trust, accountability and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional accounting and operational service to clients.
• Oversee client onboarding process for all assigned engagements.
• Implement technology toolbox on client engagements to drive efficiency.
• Coach and provide feedback to team members to ensure quality.
• Maintain client budgets and timely deliverables.
