Liberty Mutual seeks a Workers' Compensation Attorney licensed in Nevada to manage a caseload of workers' comp matters, conduct depositions, and represent Liberty Mutual and its policyholders at WC hearings. You will collaborate with Claims and Legal to deliver effective, cost-efficient outcomes.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior attorneys, leveraging technology, and staying current with evolving workers' compensation and insurance law.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Nevada bar in good standing; may require federal or board-specific licenses.
• Minimum 5 years of attorney experience, with Workers' Compensation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise litigation strategy using protocols for discovery, investigation, and trial or hearing.
• Appear before the Workers Compensation Board; handle depositions and filings; draft summaries, appeals and motions.
• Research applicable law; draft pleadings, briefs and opinions; conduct settlement negotiations when requested.
• Advise Claims Representatives and insured clients; maintain strong relationships and clear communications.
• Stay current with legal developments and related technical issues in workers' compensation and insurance law.
• Prepare and conduct training sessions for legal, claims or other departments as required.
• Provide daily direction to junior attorneys.
