Job summary

Liberty Mutual is seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney admitted and residing in Nevada to handle a caseload of WC matters, conduct depositions, and represent the company at WC hearings. You’ll interact with the Claims organization and be part of a diverse team that values work-life balance.

The role requires a JD/LLB, NV bar admission, and 5+ years WC experience with settlement/ deposition expertise; will offer a base salary plus annual bonus and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Nevada bar in good standing; on-file regulatory requirements may apply.
• Minimum 5 years’s attorney experience with Workers’ Compensation; trial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise legal strategy for discovery, investigation, and trial/hearing of workers’ compensation cases.
• Appear before the Workers' Compensation Board, conduct depositions, file summonses and appeals.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and opinions; conduct settlement negotiations when appropriate.
• Advise Claims Representatives and Insured Clients with clear, unambiguous legal opinions and guidance.
• Mentor junior attorneys and coordinate with Home Office Legal department.
• Stay current with developments in workers’ compensation law and related issues; provide training.
