Job summary

Cimarron Software Services, Inc. seeks a Network Virtualization Engineer to support MDA IRES on site at Schriever Space Force Base. This role involves first-shift duties with potential overtime, requiring DoD-style collaboration and strong VMware/NSX expertise.

The candidate will perform administration, troubleshooting, vulnerability remediation, and system upgrades across virtualization environments, ensuring DoD compliance and mission readiness.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen eligible for security clearance.
• Background check and drug screening.
• Valid Real ID or state ID at hire.
• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
• Willingness for overtime/weekend work.
• Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
• 10+ years general work experience; 5+ years related.
• 1+ year leadership experience.
• Experience with IP protocols, firewalls, and diverse networks.
• Strong written/presentation skills; MS PowerPoint & Visio.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot/configure VMware, protocols and switching.
• Perform wide range of VMware admin tasks with minimal supervision.
• Provide root-cause analysis for critical problems.
• Collaborate with system admins, network engineers, and cyber admins for a high-quality test environment.
• Remediate vulnerabilities to meet DoD compliance.
• Monitor, back up, restore, and upgrade systems.
• Document changes in official systems of record.
• Advise Government on status and improvements.
• Assist deployment of new virtual machines.
• Administer virtualization environments, patching, and system maintenance.
