Job summary

KIHOMAC is seeking a Network Engineer - Virtualization Specialist to support DoD-grade network deployments, patching, and maintenance for the C2BMC environment. Responsibilities include configuring NSX-based firewalling, NAT, load balancing, and micro-segmentation, as well as storage management with vSAN and VM migrations.

The role involves deep VMware ecosystem work (vSphere, NSX, vSAN), vulnerability remediation, and delivering expert system administration with DoD compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or science discipline preferred.
• Active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security+) required.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA) certification preferred.
• VMware Certified Technical Associate - Data Center Virtualization (VCTA), VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV), VCAP Design, VCAP Deploy or VCDX-DCV Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support network build out and deployments to the C2BMC; patch, upgrade and maintain SDDC Manager.
• Configure distributed stateful firewalling, NAT, load balancing and micro-segmentation using NSX.
• Migrate VMs/workloads from legacy vSphere to VMware Cloud; administer VMware stack.
• Perform vulnerability remediation and DoD-compliant security measures.
• Document changes in ticketing systems and communicate status to the Government customer.
