Job summary

Defense Logistics Agency in Hawaii is seeking an IT Specialist (NETWORK/CUSTSPT) to provide liaison and technical guidance for the DLA network environment. The role includes managing enterprise IT projects, developing project plans with budgeting, coordinating teams, monitoring progress, and conducting In-Process Reviews.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience directly related to IT in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector.
To qualify at the GS-12 level, one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent is required.
Applicants must meet time-in-grade, time-after-competitive appointment, and other regulatory requirements by the closing date.

Responsibilities

Acts as liaison and provides technical guidance, analysis, advice, and assistance on the DLA network environment.
Serves as IT Project manager for DLA Enterprise projects with technical advisory duties and requirement analysis.
Develops project plans including budgeting, coordinating teams, tracking progress, and reporting to management.
Plans, schedules, and participates in network testing, deployments, and service allocations as liaison.
Develops and tests solutions, analyzes results, and makes improvement recommendations.
Coordinates efforts to isolate, analyze, identify, and resolve network operations problems.
Participates in research into technological developments supporting secure network management.
