Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) seeks a Provider Contracts professional to maintain relationships with the provider community and manage contracting processes for strategic coverage in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities include recruiting, collaborating, managing risk, documenting contracting steps, negotiating small to mid-size contracts with hospitals and physician groups, and supporting complex hospital/physician contracting activities. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least one year experience developing and negotiating provider contracts or 5 years managed care operations experience handling independent work with at least one year experience developing and negotiating provider contracts.
• Meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Verbal and written communication skills, organizational and planning skills.
• PC proficiency to include Microsoft office.
• Analytical skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel within assigned territory, including overnight stays

Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong relationship with the provider community.
• Recruit, collaborate and manage risk in contracting processes for provider networks.
• Negotiate small to mid-size contracts with hospitals, physicians and physician groups.
• Develop and maintain relationships with providers.
• Support complex hospital and physician contracting activities.
