Job summary

HCSC is seeking a senior leader to develop and manage contracting strategies for commercial and government networks. Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and 15 years in health care/insurance administration, hospital/health care contracting, and hospital/physician relations OR 19 years experience.
• 7 years management experience.
• Knowledge of hospital and provider reimbursement strategies and policies.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communications to represent company, negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and present to executives.
• Leadership skills, team player, relationship building in a highly matrixed environment.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with deadlines.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with colleagues across a matrixed environment.
• Accuracy and sound judgment with regard to financial matters such as contract performance and ROI.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage contracting strategies for operations relative to commercial and government networks.
• Accountable for development, negotiation, and completion of reimbursement contracts; ensure network adequacy.
• Draft reimbursement agreements and negotiate contracts for hospitals and large professional groups.
• Achieve competitive discounts and access through contract negotiations and relationship management.
• Develop strategies, draft agreements, and negotiate contracts for new provider categories.
• Oversee analysis and reporting to develop reimbursement strategies and take corrective actions.
• Resolve contractual issues and disputes.
• Ensure staff meets goals, is trained, and communications are clear on changes.
• Accountable for budget, operational reporting, and financial reporting.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, management, and customers.
• Comply with HIPAA, diversity policies, and other applicable policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of company information and coordinate with leadership on developments.
