Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) seeks a Provider Contracts professional to maintain relationships with the provider community and manage contracting processes for strategic coverage in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities include recruiting, collaborating, managing risk, documenting contracting steps, negotiating small to mid-size contracts with hospitals and physician groups, and supporting complex hospital/physician contracting activities. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least one year experience developing and negotiating provider contracts or 5 years managed care operations experience handling independent work with at least one year experience developing and negotiating provider contracts.
• Meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Verbal and written communication skills, organizational and planning skills.
• PC proficiency to include Microsoft office.
• Analytical skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel within assigned territory, including overnight stays

Job Summary

Job Profile Summary:

This position is responsible for the maintaining a strong relationship with our provider community. Primary functions include, recruiting, collaborating, managing risk, documentation which are part of the contracting process for provider networks, to ensure strategic coverage of assigned territory. Specific responsibilities include small to mid-size contract negotiations for small hospitals, physicians and physician groups and developing and maintaining relationships with providers. This role will also provide support for complex hospital and physician contracting activities. Ability and willingness to travel within assigned territory, including overnight stays (rare).

Base Pay Range

$55,900.00 - $123,500.00
