Job summary

Lightspeed Networks is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to join our growing telecommunications team. You will support core network infrastructure and hosted UC services, coordinating with Sales, Order Management, Engineering, and Field Resources to ensure timely order fulfillment.

You will design circuits, validate UC implementations, and handle provisioning, activation, and ongoing service support with a focus on reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data communications or networking is required or equivalent experience.
• Experience provisioning UC services in hosted voice environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet/IP services and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Familiarity with UC solutions and hosted UC environments recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provision and activate Internet, Ethernet, TDM, SIP, and UC services; test and turn-up capacity.
• Validate UC implementations and coordinate with Order Management; port Direct-Inward Dial numbers.
• Design circuits across regions for Ethernet, Internet, and TDM; configure VLANs and QoS as needed.
• Collaborate with Sales, Field Resources, and Engineering to fulfill orders and projects.
• Troubleshoot and repair Ethernet/IP, SIP, and UC services; monitor via NMS and perform RCA.
