Job summary

First Citizens is seeking a remote-enabled Network Engineer II to provide Tier 2 support for the bank’s data and voice network infrastructure, including installation, maintenance, and upgrades, with on-call rotation.

You will configure and install network hardware and software (Wireless, Route/Switch, Cisco ACI), monitor alerts, manage asset inventory, and partner with vendors to improve service quality and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• Alternate: high school diploma/GED with 8 years of experience in systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 technical support for data/voice network systems.
• Configure and install network hardware/software including Wireless and Cisco technologies.
• Monitor system events and respond to alerts, escalating when needed.
• Maintain network asset inventory and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with vendors and management to reduce costs and improve service.
