Job summary

Southern Company Services is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Support Engineer to join the ERO Support team. You will help ensure compliance with NERC standards and support the Electric Reliability Organization through project collaboration, training, and industry committee work.

The role requires communication across plant teams, risk assessment, and the ability to work in a remote/virtual environment with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Engineering is required
• Electrical Engineering is preferred
• Willing to travel up to 25% and work in a remote/virtual environment

Responsibilities

• Ensure no compliance violations within the ERO Support team.
• Collaborate with project managers and third-party vendors on new plant builds and retrofits.
• Act as SME for assigned NERC standards.
• Engage in industry committees and drafting teams as appropriate.
• Provide support for technical issues and maintain proficiency in the mentioned areas.
• Cultivate and maintain contacts within the plant and Operations Compliance.
• Develop and become SME for assigned NERC standards.
