Inspected, Inc. is expanding into North Carolina and seeks qualified Building Inspectors to perform field inspections for residential and commercial construction per NC State Building Code and approved plans.

You will travel within North Carolina, document results in Permit Hub, and help establish Inspected's presence as an early NC team member working with an experienced anchor inspector.

Formación

• Current North Carolina COQB Building Inspector certificate at Level I, II, or III or eligibility for probationary certificate
• High school diploma or recognized equivalency
• Successful completion of the COQB Law and Administration course and the Building Standard Inspection course and exam (unless exempt)
• Relevant education and experience meeting 11 NCAC 08 .0706 for the level held or sought
• Practical knowledge of building construction methods, plans, inspections, and NC State Building Code
• Valid NC driver’s license and ability to travel across NC service area
• Ability to use a smartphone/tablet, Permit Hub, email, and electronic docs system (training provided)
• Strong judgment, attention to detail, time management, and professional communication
• Ability to pass background checks and municipality registrations

Responsabilidades

• Perform building inspections within your NC COQB certification type, level, and jurisdiction
• Compare installed work with approved plans and NC Building Code requirements
• Inspect foundations, framing, structural components, fire-resistance, means of egress, accessibility, weather protection
• Apply occupancy, floor-area, and story limits per your Level I–III
• Prepare electronic inspection reports in Permit Hub with results, citations, notes, and photos
• Identify unsafe conditions and communicate corrections to contractors/owners
• Coordinate scheduling, site access, reinspections, and closeout with teams and jurisdictions
• Assist with jurisdiction registrations as Inspected expands in NC
• Maintain inspection records, credentials, and registrations
• Follow QC, safety, confidentiality, and escalation procedures
• Participate in continuing education and code-update training
