Inspected is expanding into North Carolina and is seeking qualified Building Inspectors to perform field inspections of residential and commercial construction for compliance with the NC Building Code. This is a field-based remote role based in North Carolina; you will travel to inspection sites, document results in Permit Hub, and contribute to establishing Inspected’s presence in the state.

Qualificações

• North Carolina COQB Building Inspector certificate at Level I, II, or III or eligible for a probationary certificate
• High school diploma or equivalency
• Complete COQB Law and Administration and Building Standard Inspection courses unless exempt
• Practical knowledge of NC Building Code and inspection procedures
• Valid NC driver’s license and ability to travel within NC
• Proficient with Permit Hub, email, and electronic document systems
• Strong judgment, attention to detail, time management and professional communication

Responsabilidades

• Perform building inspections within your COQB level and jurisdiction
• Compare installed work with approved plans and NC Building Code requirements
• Inspect foundations, framing, fire-resistance features, egress and accessibility elements
• Prepare electronic inspection reports with photos and references
• Identify unsafe conditions and communicate corrections clearly to contractors
• Coordinate scheduling, site access, reinspections, and closeout activities
• Maintain records, credentials, training, and jurisdiction registrations
• Follow quality-control, safety and confidentiality procedures
• Participate in continuing education and code-update training
