SAFEbuilt is seeking a Level III Building Inspector in North Carolina to perform daily field inspections across commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, ensuring compliance with the NC State Building Code and local regulations. You will review plans, coordinate with contractors and engineers, and provide guidance on code interpretation throughout project phases.

Ideal candidates have extensive construction inspection experience, NC COQB Level III certification, and additional NC

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Extensive experience in commercial building construction, inspection, code enforcement, or related field.
• Current North Carolina COQB Level III Building Inspector certification.
• Additional NC Level II/III certifications in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and/or Fire Prevention preferred.
• ICC commercial trade certifications are a plus.

Mansioni

• Perform daily field inspections of commercial, industrial, institutional, and other complex construction projects to ensure compliance with NC State Building Code and local regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive inspections of building construction, structural components, and building systems.
• Inspect large-scale commercial facilities, including data centers and mission-critical projects.
• Review plans, specifications, and engineering details for code compliance.
• Communicate findings and corrective actions to contractors and design professionals.
• Maintain inspection records and prepare reports for timely completion of inspections.
• Provide technical guidance on code interpretation and construction practices.
