Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Training Specialist/Instructional Developer to design and develop Navy training products. The role, fully remote, requires coordinating with Government SMEs to ensure instructional content aligns with NAVEDTRA standards and learning objectives.

You will script, storyboard, and map content, guiding multimedia development and validation processes. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in instructional design, strong writing skills, and a solid grasp of adult learning principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience in instructional design or training development.
• Experience translating technical requirements into effective learning solutions.
• Strong scriptwriting and storyboard-development skills.
• Experience collaborating with technical SMEs to develop instructional content.
• Knowledge of NAVEDTRA standards and government training processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end instructional design activities with Government SMEs.
• Convert technical information into structured instructional content meeting NAVEDTRA standards.
• Develop, review, and map learning objectives to training requirements.
• Write clear instructional scripts for interactive and web-based training.
• Create detailed storyboards communicating content, learner interactions, graphics, and assessments.
• Coordinate with multimedia developers to ensure instructional integrity across outputs.
• Facilitate SME reviews and apply feedback to products.
• Maintain traceability among requirements, objectives, content, and assessments.
