Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Virtual Technical Assessment Team Analyst to support modernization efforts for U.S. Navy carriers. You will review ship change documentation, coordinate assessments, and collaborate with authorities, shipyards, and program managers to drive informed decisions.

You will work remotely within a defense environment, ensuring documentation accuracy, managing priorities, and delivering clear status updates to leadership. Navy vessel experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years developing, managing, or controlling ship change documentation.
• Experience with CVN-68/CVN-78 class systems.
• Navy vessel experience; nuclear ships preferred.
• Familiarity with ShipAlterations (ShipAlts), Ship Change Documents (SCDs), and TAT reviews.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical reports.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• U.S. citizen with current or eligible Secret clearance.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical approval letters for ShipAlt requests and TAT reviews.
• Assist VTAT Lead with reviewing SCDs for Nimitz- and Ford-class carriers.
• Track assignments, workloads, and priorities; suggest process improvements.
• Prepare weekly SCD status reports and support Project Manager briefings.
• Collaborate with engineers, TYCOM, shipyards, and Navy stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Review technical data packages, drawings, and related documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Provide recommendations to facilitate approvals and modernization decisions.
• Create professional briefings for senior officials on assessments and issues.
• Identify recurring challenges and support timely completion of reviews.
