Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field
  • Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles
  • Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data‑driven financial analysis
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution‑development skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Data Analytics & Interpretation: Gather, analyze, and interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data to support client strategy and decision‑making
  • Underwriting Support: Evaluate underwriting data and develop recommendations to support carrier pricing, negotiations, and funding analyses
  • Client Consulting: Deliver data‑driven insights that help clients understand risks, trends, opportunities, and program performance
  • Sales Support: Partner with Producers and Benefits teams by providing analytical support for renewals, presentations, prospecting, and business development initiatives
  • Reporting & Presentation Development: Create reports, dashboards, financial exhibits, and presentations that communicate complex information clearly and effectively
  • Analytics Process Management: Develop and maintain analytics methodologies, reporting standards, and best practices to improve consistency and results
  • Technology Optimization: Utilize and evaluate analytics, reporting, and business intelligence tools to enhance client outcomes and operational effectiveness
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze trends, benchmarking data, and financial metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and improved performance
  • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, analytical capabilities, and service delivery
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Senior Analytic Consultants, Producers, Account Teams, carriers, and internal stakeholders to support client objectives
  • Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication regarding analytical findings, recommendations, and client activities
  • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Provide analytical guidance and support team development through knowledge sharing and subject matter expertise
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain knowledge of underwriting methodologies, funding arrangements, analytics tools, market trends, and industry best practices
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and established analytical procedures
  • Champion IOA Values: Demonstrate integrity, leadership, accountability, and professionalism in all interactions
