Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a National Analytic Consultant – Employee Benefits to lead analytics across the Benefits Group. You will gather, analyze, and interpret claims, underwriting, and financial data to guide client decisions and underwriting strategies.

Collaborate with producers, account teams, and carriers to deliver data-driven insights, create dashboards, and support renewals and new business initiatives with strong analytics and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
  • Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles.
  • Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data‑driven financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution‑development skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Data analytics & interpretation: Gather, analyze, interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data.
  • Underwriting support: Evaluate underwriting data and develop recommendations for pricing, negotiations, and funding analyses.
  • Client consulting: Deliver data‑driven insights for risk, trends, opportunities, and program performance.
  • Sales support: Provide analytical support for renewals, presentations, prospecting, and business development.
  • Reporting & presentation development: Create reports, dashboards, exhibits, and presentations communicating complex information clearly.
  • Analytics process management: Develop analytics methodologies, reporting standards, and best practices.
  • Technology optimization: Utilize analytics tools to enhance client outcomes and operational effectiveness.
  • Performance analysis: Analyze trends, benchmarking data, and financial metrics for opportunities.
  • Process improvement: Recommend improvements for efficiency, reporting accuracy, and services.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Partner with senior consultants, producers, account teams, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Communication: Maintain clear communication of findings and recommendations.
  • Training & knowledge sharing: Provide analytical guidance and team development.
  • Technical expertise: Maintain knowledge of underwriting methodologies, funding arrangements, analytics tools, market trends.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to policies, standards and procedures.
  • Champion IOA values: Integrity, leadership, accountability, professionalism.
