Job summary

Butler Plus seeks an Area Supervisor in Washington, DC to support district operations for up to 30 multifamily communities. You will work with frontline staff, recruiting, staffing, training, and supervising a remote team to meet service schedules and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include overseeing doorstep trash/recycling, conducting quality reviews, payroll input, and coordinating rollout of new properties. Strong communication and multi-site experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience managing a remote workforce up to 50.
• Basic employee relations experience related to hiring and management.
• Experience in multi-site operations.
• Experience providing customer service.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong planning, time management and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and resourceful.
• Ability to work independently.
• Able to self-manage with some supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure doorstep trash/recycling collection on all scheduled services in the assigned area.
• Complete doorstep trash/recycling collection services as needed in your area.
• Perform additional services (porter, bulk item hauling, etc.) as needed.
• Conduct on-site quality reviews to ensure service and safety standards.
• Monitor staff check in/out and time to completion using proprietary tech.
• Recruit/train/onboard new staff and provide continuing education.
• Assist with training new management.
• Assist with semi-monthly payroll by updating the proprietary tech.
• Attend weekly meetings with manager and HR.
• Partner with manager on rollout/launch of service on new properties.
• Attend resident events at communities.
• Provide on-call support to workforce.
• Manage workforce inventory including uniforms and supplies.
• Communicate with direct manager and other units to serve customers.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

AA degree preferred
